From the "Stadtmarketing Sundern" starting point, you first roll comfortably out of the town on asphalt. At the end of Seidfeld, the tour then begins with a climb to Dörnholthausener Höhe. You will be compensated for the meters in altitude by a challenging downhill trail that leads to the Endorf hut and ends with a crossing of the Waldbach stream.

Now begins the 3-kilometre ascent towards Wildewiese. A downhill trail connects us to the winter sports resort, which is characterized by an extensive gastronomic offer and an excellent view. It is also a mountain festival in the truest sense of the word. On the one hand, this is the highest
point of the tour at approx. 600 m above sea level and, on the other, half of the route has now been completed. A short detour to the 60 m high Schomberg tower is particularly worthwhile on a clear day. The distant views allow you to see as far as the Rhein-Weser-Turm 23 km, Astenturm 34 km or the Bielefeld TV tower 95 km away. The route continues along the Sorpeberg on narrow trails. If you prefer to ride on good forest paths, you can "avoid the trails" here. After the "Sieben Wegekreuz", a route with many beautiful viewpoints follows. Alternating between forest paths and single trails, the tour leads to Dörnholthausen.

Civilization has returned! Behind the Stockum sports field, we circle the Bergmer on a beautiful single trail and come to Stockum, which is ideal for an extended rest. After a few ups and downs, we cross the former glider site near Seidfeld and reach the transmitter mast. From here, we head back downhill towards Sundern via root trails and technically challenging sections. Concentration is required here, otherwise there is a risk of a painful descent. Passing the indoor tennis courts, we return to the starting point of the tour at the town hall on public roads. If the tour becomes too long for you on the way, you can shorten it in Endorf Hütte, Wildewiese or Stockum and cycle back to Sundern on asphalt paths/roads.
