The "Steine und Mehr" themed route offers cyclists an in-depth experience of regional geology and culture in the area of the municipalities of Geseke, Anröchte and Warstein. This carefully designed circular tour reveals numerous facets of limestone, from its formation to its diverse uses and renaturation. Along the route, specialized stations provide in-depth insights into the history and present of limestone quarrying and its influence on the landscape and people's lives. The route leads past active quarry edges, presents artistic interventions in disused areas and reveals impressive examples of regenerating nature, which is reclaiming its own space after human intervention. There are various places to stop for refreshments, which makes exploring the main route and the additional sub-routes a pleasant experience. The route combines cultural and historical education with the joy of cycling in the heart of the Westfalen countryside.
