The circular cycle route is signposted throughout with a green "M3".The starting point is the Medebach market square. From there, we turn right into Österstraße until we reach the cemetery. We leave the cemetery, the Österntor playground and the nuns' cross behind us. We follow this road downhill into the Brühnetal valley. We then follow the road steeply uphill for about 200 m to Faust. An approximately 2 km long descent then awaits us, past the Faust forester's lodge to the fish ponds in the Aar valley (Wagner fish farm). Then we cross the Aar bridge and turn right into the Aar valley. After a while, we cross the Aar over a bridge and reach a barbecue hut. From here we follow the path towards Münden. We ride downhill into the village, then turn left just before the church onto the road to Neukirchen. Immediately after the bridge, we turn right towards the Münden sports field. After another 200 m, we turn right into the valley and continue to the end of the road before Ronninghausen. Now continue straight on to the Medebach/Berge sewage treatment plant and turn right onto the Medebach-Münden road (L858). Follow the road for approx. 100 m to the left and shortly after the bridge turn right onto a paved dirt track. The route continues slightly uphill through a wooded area and then flat to the Holtischfeld industrial estate. We first turn right, then left through the industrial estate and soon reach the paved field path leading from Faust to Medebach.
The route is not suitable for racing bikes! Partly gravel paths.
Current information about our forests - The bark beetle and its consequences
The forest owners are endeavoring to take the necessary measures in the forests and to remove the damaged wood. However, due to the extent of the damage, this work cannot be completed in a short space of time. The clearing and reforestation of the damaged forest stands will therefore take a long time and sometimes lead to disruptions such as closures and detour in the forests. This must always be taken into account when visiting the forest.
We therefore appeal to everyone who cares about the forest:
Please be considerate ...
Stop off at the fish ponds with their farm store in the Wagner fishing park. (Please note opening hours!)
