The road bike tour offers a short warm-up phase before the Schloßberg near Küstelberg presents a straightforward uphill challenge. A descent is followed by further climbs to Kahler Pöhn and the passage to Usseln. After conquering these distinctive elevation profiles, the circular route leads back to the starting point in Medebach via Oberschledorn and Eppe.

Author Tip
Make a stop at the Graf Stolberghütte, the highest point of the tour. From there, you have a wonderful view over the Medebach Bay.
Public transit
There are no train stations along the route. It is only possible to travel to a limited extent by bus. The nearest train station to the starting point is in Olsberg.
How to get there
Coming from Frankfurt: In Frankfurt, take the A5. At the Gambacher Dreieck interchange, turn onto the A45 towards Gießen / Marburg and follow the highway to Marburg. Continue on the Marburg city highway to the Korbach / Frankenberg exit and stay on the B 252 to Frankenberg (Münchhausen, Ernsthausen, Bottendorf). In Frankenberg, continue in the direction of Schreufa / Sachsenberg / Münden. From Münden, please follow the signs to Medebach.
Coming from Paderborn: You are leaving Paderborn. Leave the B1 and take the A33 in the direction of Brilon, Kassel, Dortmund. Stay on the A33 and follow the road towards Korbach. From Korbach follow the signs to Medebach.
Coming from Dortmund, Arnsberg: From Dortmund (A1), drive to the Dortmund/Unna junction, change to the A44 and drive towards Kassel until you reach the Werl junction. Here take the Arnsberg exit (A445). Stay on the A445 in the direction of Meschede (the highway merges into the A46) until the end of the highway (Bestwig). Drive in the direction of Winterberg (B7). 2 km before Bigge, continue in the direction of Winterberg (B480), driving through Assinghausen, Wiemeringhausen and Niedersfeld. Approx. 9 km after Niedersfeld, turn left towards Medebach and drive through the village of Küstelberg. Shortly before entering Medebach, you will see the entrance to Park Hochsauerland on your left.
