The old Hanseatic town of Brilon provides direct access to a network of singletrail routes that start right on the outskirts of the town. These routes offer a differentiated riding experience, enriched by extensive scenic impressions and far-reaching panoramas from elevated positions over the Sauerland and the Brilon plateau. The Bilstein circuit in particular, alongside the routes on the Hängeberg and Plattenberg, focuses on an accessible riding experience. Moderate climbs and flowing descents are characteristic, while extreme gradients or slopes are avoided. A variety of sections are designed with waves, berms and smaller jumps, which increase the riding dynamics and enable a progressive increase in difficulty with riding speed. After the activity, various restaurants in the region offer opportunities to stop for refreshments. The circular route also allows mountain bikers to plan their route flexibly.
