The "Bad Sassendorf: 12 in one go" cycle tour opens up a varied landscape of wide fields, rows of trees and characteristic rural villages. This circular route runs through all twelve villages in the municipality, which offer a unique blend of southern Sauerland flair and northern Münsterland character. The route offers interesting insights into regional specialties and provides various options for a culinary break to get to know the local offerings.

Directions
The route first heads south through the districts of Opmünden, Elfsen and Beusingsen to Herringsen. The section of the route along the Haarstrang is a little strenuous. However, you will be rewarded time and again with fantastic views over the Soester Börde and its picturesque landscape. The route then continues via Neuengeseke and Enkesen im Klei to Lohne. Half of the route is done!The route in the north is rather leisurely. The first stop is Bettinghausen. There you can take a break at the Landgasthof Vogt (Thursday is a rest day). The tour then takes you via Ostinghausen - take a little time in the Woeste nature reserve, where you can observe special and rare animals with binoculars - Weslarn - a tour of the village is worthwhile here to get to know the most important sights of the town - and Heppen back to Bad Sassendorf. Have fun!

Public transit
You can travel to Bad Sassendorf by train (RB 89) or from Soest by bus R81.
How to get there
From the Ruhr area or from Kassel via the Dortmund-Kassel highway (A 44) to the Soest-Ost/Bad Sassendorf exit, then via the B475 and L856 to Bad Sassendorf. From the direction of Berlin/Hanover via the highway (A 2) to the Wiedenbrück exit, then via Lippstadt-Erwitte (B 1/L856) to Bad Sassendorf.
