This regional cycle tour opens up the Sauerland and Bergisches Land regions and is characterized by its route along natural streams, impressive dams and historic town centers. Cultural aspects characterize the route. Starting at Meinerzhagen railroad station, the route initially includes sections with moderate gradients. The route then leads through the picturesque Kerspe valley to Halver. Cyclists then pass through the historic centers of Radevormwald, Hückeswagen and Wipperfürth, each of which offers the opportunity to take a break and explore the local area. The return route from Hückeswagen runs along the Bergisch panoramic cycle path, a former railroad line, with gentle climbs. From Marienheide, there is the option of neutralizing the remaining difference in altitude to the starting point by taking a train ride or continuing the return journey along the Lingesetalsperre reservoir. The circular tour can be arranged flexibly; an extension via Breckerfeld or a shortening via Wipperfürth is possible, taking into account the designated junctions. Refreshments are available along the entire route.
