The Henne Cycle Route Part 1 offers a regional cycle tour through the Hochsauerland region, starting in Schmallenberg and ending in Meschede. The continuation via Winterberg and the Kahler Asten on the Lenneroute leads back. Culinary stops along the route provide the perfect accompaniment.

Please note that on sections of this route, especially in wooded areas, you can expect to encounter strong bumps. Adapt your driving style accordingly. A rescue point system has been installed in the Hochsauerland district. Rescue points can be found on the information boards at junctions and hiking signs.

Public transit

People travel free of charge on buses and trains with the Schmallenberger Sauerland Card. Dogs are also free of charge, but can be refused by the driver (size etc.)

Bicycle transportation costs between € 1.50 and € 3.00. E.g. 1.50 € Schmallenberg - Fredeburg or as a day ticket for the whole of Westphalia 3.00 €, there is also the possibility to purchase a day ticket for NRW, this costs 5.00 € per bike! Please note that an additional passenger ticket may be required.
