The Kinderland cycle route, a self-contained circular tour, opens up the multifaceted Schmallenberger Sauerland. The main route, marked by a yellow label, is modularly adaptable with color-coded alternatives. This configuration allows for flexible exploration. The route reveals a varied topography: gentle hilly landscapes alternate with productive valleys and create a harmonious overall picture of the region. The high proportion of asphalt throughout contributes to the comfortable rideability. There are various points along the route that invite you to linger and actively engage with nature. These include playgrounds, tranquil ponds and cooling pedal pools. Flowing streams also offer natural refreshment. The route provides insights into the regional wildlife, with grazing animals such as horses, goats, donkeys and cattle being visible features of the landscape. Attentive observers may also have the opportunity to spot wild animals such as roe deer, black storks, herons, deer or hares in their natural environment. Cultural facets of the region are also integrated into the tour experience, complemented by suitable refreshment stops.
