The 'Medebach - Rund um den Kahlen (M1)' circular tour presents itself as a cycling experience on predominantly asphalted paths with moderate differences in altitude. The route first leads to nearby Glindfeld, a place that offers cultural insights thanks to the historic St. Laurentius Chapel and the traces of old monastery walls. You can stop for a while at the pedal pool, whose well-kept grounds invite you to take a relaxing break in the greenery. The signposting ensures easy orientation along the trail, starting from the St. Laurentius Chapel. Back in Medebach, you can visit the Garden of Generations. This area offers various opportunities for relaxation and active pursuits. The municipal museum, which documents the development of the farming town into the vacation resort of Medebach and includes a model railway layout for the Medebach-Steinhelle narrow-gauge railroad, is a further cultural enrichment. There are also educational activities for younger visitors.

Directions

The circular cycle route is signposted throughout with a green "M1"and the starting point for this 8 km circular tour is the tourist information office on the market square. From here, we take Niederstraße through the one-way street "Auf der Burg" in the direction of Schützenstraße and then turn right into Gelängeweg. We follow this out of the residential areas and into the field. After a fairly steep descent, we cross the Gelängebach stream and reach the K56, which we follow to the right in the direction of Glindfeld/ Medebach, always slightly uphill. We pass the St. Laurentius chapel, the farm on the left and come to a few houses on the right. Here we do not follow the district road, but continue straight ahead onto Glindfelder Weg. This leads us back to Medebach. We reach the market square via Oberstraße.
