The M6 cycle tour takes in the historic half-timbered villages of the Hanseatic town of Medebach and offers a variety of insights into the regional culture and landscape. This challenging circular tour through the "Tuscany of the Sauerland" is aimed at cyclists in good physical condition as well as users of e-bikes or e-MTBs. The route can be accessed from any part of the town. The route initially leads through extensive fields and meadows in the Medebach Bay, a habitat for rare animal and plant species. In Berge, the smallest village, you can visit the baroque church of St. John the Evangelist from 1699 with pictures of the apostles from the former Glindfeld monastery. The barite museum in Dreislar provides an insight into the local mining history; the treading pool at the "Im Schwinkel" wellness rest area offers refreshment. There are rest stops and restaurants in the Orketal valley in Medelon before continuing through the Orketal nature reserve and the Vildischer Grund to Elkeringhausen. The subsequent ascent through the Elkeringhausen forest leads to the highest district of Küstelberg, the center of which is dominated by the historic Ewers house. The route continues through the "Oberes Dittelsbachttal" and "Wissinghauser Heide" nature reserves as well as through quiet sections of forest to Titmaringhausen, where the Fresenhof dating from 1768 with its granary from 1708 is a remarkable architectural monument. In Referinghausen, the Open Mind Places offer moments of contemplation, for example at the Sonnenklang. The woodturning village of Düdinghausen presents the traditional craftsmanship of woodturners in the pastor's barn. The KUMA culture and painting center in Oberschledorn includes an exhibition by the Bergenthal family of church painters and an art café. The route continues through the Aartal valley from Eppe to Münden, accompanied by the gentle babbling of the stream. There are various places to stop for refreshments along the entire route.
