The route starts in Küstelberg and initially leads with a moderate incline towards Wissinghausen, then through wooded areas to the Titswiesen. Subsequent topographical changes characterize the route, which finally leads to the summit of the Kahler Pön with its characteristic heathland and far-reaching panoramic views. A nearby Diemel spring offers the opportunity for refreshment. After a dynamic downhill section towards Referinghausen, the route continues through open fields. The route approaches Küstelberg via the Henkmannskopf and along the Schloßberg. The final section still includes a few climbs, which are not overly challenging due to the manageable overall length of the tour.

Public transit

The Küstelberg bus stop is located on Winterberger Straße (L 740). From here, you can use public transport in the direction of Medebach (S30), Brilon (S30), Düdinghausen (R48) and Winterberg (R48).

Küstelberg can be reached from Winterberg via the B480 and the L740.
