Plettenberg: The "mixed" tour

Plettenberg center - Oestertal - Oestertalsperre - Herscheid - Wellin - Grävinglöh - Plettenberg centerThe route starts in the center of Plettenberg and leads after approx. 8 km to the dam wall of the Oestertalsperre, along the shore until a short stretch of country road (approx. 1.5 km) is reached. Now it goes back into the forest. You pass through the village of Kiesbert. The trail runs through the picturesque Oestertal valley at the foot of the Ebbegebirge mountains. In Rebling (15.5 km, apex of the route) there is the option of a short stop for refreshments.It is approx. 3 km via a country road to Herscheid. There you can enjoy an ice cream in one of the best ice cream parlors in the area.Once you reach the district of Wellin, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view. The last 10 km lead through the forest, either continuing on the marked hiking trails or via a 1 km long single trail. Here you can take a break at the SGV Heim Wiehardt.Passing the Grävinglöh farm, it is then all downhill to the destination of Plettenberg town center.
