Information

Directions

The cycle tour starts at junction 9 in the center of Lippetal-Herzfeld. The cycle path leaves the small town and follows the 100 Castles Route westwards. A real insider tip is the somewhat hidden Haus Assen. Beautifully embedded in a small wood, the historic building enchants with its shapes. Benches right next to Haus Assen invite you to linger with a view of the building. The route continues along the Römer-Lippe-Route to the small town of Lippborg with its church, which is well worth seeing. The cycle tour now crosses the Lippe for the first time, which meanders through the landscape in many twists and turns. The nearby Ahse meadows are best viewed from the 9 m high observation tower. The nature reserve with its wet meadows is an important habitat for many bird species. A few kilometers further on, the tower of St. Stephen's Church towers over the church square in Oestinghausen.Fields and meadows accompany the cyclist on the last few kilometers to Herzfeld. Hovestadt Castle with its wild and romantic park forms the magnificent conclusion to this cycle tour.
