The circular tour between Medebach and Winterberg opens up a multifaceted perspective on the geographical and biological diversity of the region. The Medebach Bay, often referred to as the "Tuscany of the Sauerland", impresses with its comparatively mild climate and characteristic landscape. As a European bird sanctuary, this area is of outstanding importance for the protection of species, as it is home to unique flora and fauna, including numerous rare and endangered bird and plant species. The route leads through an ensemble of villages that reflect the cultural and historical identity of the region. These include the artists' village of Oberschledorn as well as Referinghausen with its dairy stations and Titmaringhausen. The route continues to Küstelberg, where the historic "Haus Ewers" farm is a landmark steeped in history, and then reaches the source of the Ruhr before heading to Winterberg. To complete the circuit, the route returns to the Hanseatic town of Medebach, passing the village of Medelon. The section through the "Vildischer Grund" along the idyllic little river Orke to Medelon is characterized by a pleasant gradient and blends harmoniously into the landscape before returning to the starting point in Medebach.
