The regional cycle tour "Zum Hennesee" starts in Eslohe, where the museum of local history and machinery presents its technical exhibits at the beginning. An in-depth tour of this facility is ideally recommended at the end of the tour. The route continues via Sallinghausen and uses a modernized railroad line cycle path, which leads cyclists to Wenholthausen and impresses with its even condition. The rest of the route leads via Büenfeld, Erflinghausen and Mielinghausen to the Hennesee lake. A striking bridge construction spans the front and main basins of the lake here, after which the ride continues along the eastern shore on a quiet side path towards Meschede. At the end of this section, the dam of the Henne reservoir rises up. There is an opportunity to climb the imposing Himmelstreppe on foot and look out over the carefully landscaped Henne Park, whose design integrates aspects of the regional flora. From there, the cycle path follows a moderate ascent to the picturesque half-timbered village of Remblinghausen, which offers a welcome opportunity to stop for refreshments or a rest. After leaving the village in the direction of Herhagen, the route leads via Reiste to rejoin the SauerlandRadring, which enables the final ride back to Eslohe and thus completes the circular route.
