The regional cycle tour 'Tour 4 - Through Börde and Münsterland (turquoise)' opens up a charming landscape between the Sauerland and the extensive Münsterland parkland. The topography of the Hellwegbörde and the Lippe valley, characterized by wide plains and diverse variety, offers optimal conditions for cyclists:. The circular route follows the historic Hellweg and crosses the fertile Börde landscape with its characteristic farmsteads and ancient villages. Cyclists: pass through meadow and floodplain landscapes, follow the course of rivers and discover a wealth of cultural heritage. These include stately castles, imposing church buildings, picturesque alleyways and authentic half-timbered houses in the Westphalian style. Along the route, numerous refreshment stops such as traditional inns and charming cafés in historic farmhouses invite you to take a relaxing break.

Public transit

Bad Sassendorf is easily accessible by bus (R81 Soest, R49 Möhnesee - no bicycle transport) and train (R89 Münster-Warburg). Junction 93 is approx. 600 m from the station.

How to get there

From the Ruhr area or from Kassel via the Dortmund-Kassel highway (A 44) to the Soest-Ost/Bad Sassendorf exit, then via the B475 and L856 to Bad Sassendorf. From the direction of Berlin/Hanover via the highway (A 2) to the Wiedenbrück exit, then via Lippstadt-Erwitte (B 1/L856) to Bad Sassendorf.
