Touring cycle route "3-Valley-Route" (3TT)

The route starts at the Schützenhalle in Westenfeld. From here, follow the main road in the direction of Meschede for approx. 200 m. Now turn left into "Bainghauser Weg" and after approx. 100 m turn right into "Weist". Pass the kindergarten and cycle through a beautiful valley with lovely meadows and a small stream. At the end of the valley, you will reach the L686 country road (bypass - take care!). Cross this road and follow the path to Hellefeld past the equestrian center. Here, too, you have to cross another busy road (take care!). After crossing the road, cycle into the village center of Hellefeld. The second road on the right is Kehlstraße, which you follow until you reach the L839 country road. Here you turn left (there is a cycle path behind the crash barrier) and reach the beautiful village of Altenhellefeld. At the first junction, keep straight on in the direction of Grevenstein. When you see the sign "Zur Wacholderheide", turn left here. A small road leads you into the Wacholderheide nature reserve. Cycle along the juniper heath and the cycle path leads you, keeping left, down to the L840 country road near Visbeck. Follow this road to the right until you reach a T-junction in Meschede-Berge. Turn right here and at the next major junction turn left towards Meschede. After approx. 170 m, turn left again and cycle comfortably along a former railroad line (SauerlandRadring -Nordschleife) to Wennemen. On the way you cross the rivers Wenne and Ruhr. Once you arrive in Wennemen, cycle along the railroad line, turn right and then left into "Biekestraße". Follow this road until you reach the L743 country road, turn left and cycle along the RuhrtalRadweg to Arnsberg-Hüsten. At the railroad bridge in Hüsten (you will see the Poco furniture store on the right), leave the Ruhr Valley cycle path and cross the Ruhr. Follow the cycle path on the other side of the bridge. Go through an underpass under the railroad line to reach the park behind Hüsten church. Follow the path on the right through the park until you come to another road in front of the church. Follow this road twice to the left and you will reach the street "Möthe", which turns into the street "Alt Hüsten". At the "Kettler Straße" junction, turn right as far as the main road, then left and along the shared footpath and cycle path to the busy main road. Cross the road at the traffic lights in the direction of Herdringen. Immediately after the Röhrbrücke bridge, turn left onto a path. After approx. 100 m, turn left again. From here, follow the road behind the Wepa industrial site. After approx. 1 km, turn right and follow the cycle path to Reigern. In Reigern, cross the Röhr and you are on the main road 229. Turn right in the direction of Sundern-Hachen. Once there, follow the main road to the traffic circle and take the first exit to the "Perlmühle" junction. Cross the road (take care!) and turn left into "Tiefenhagener Straße". After approx. 300 m, turn left between 2 houses and follow the cycle path through the Röhrtal valley. You will arrive at a gravel parking lot. Now turn right and after 100 m turn left again and follow the middle path at the fork until you reach "Gut Selmke". Turn right here and immediately left again and follow the gravel path (always keep left) along the Röhr river until you come out of the forest near McDonalds. Now follow the cycle and hiking path next to the container service along the Röhr to Sundern. At the end of the cycle path in the pedestrian zone, turn left and then right again at the police station onto the main road. At the traffic lights, go straight on towards Westenfeld and Meschede. As soon as you have left the residential area of Sundern, you can follow the cycle path to Westenfeld on the left-hand side until you arrive back at the Schützenhalle and your starting point.
