The circular tour from Willingen to the Diemelsee leads over its striking dam wall. The cycling experience unfolds along the multi-faceted banks of the Diemelsee and the natural flowing waters of the Diemel. There are a variety of places to stop for refreshments along the way.

Directions
From the visitor center we go to the center of Willingen. There we turn onto Schwalefelder Straße in the direction of Diemelsee. We follow this road to the barrier wall of the Diemelsee and from there cycle along the Diemel cycle path (recognizable by the ammonite signpost) to Usseln. The Diemel cycle path always runs alongside the river through the beautiful Diemel valley. In Usseln we turn into Sportstraße, then into Am Schneppelnberg and cycle back to Willingen to the visitor center.

We recommend functional, weather-appropriate cycling clothing, rucksack provisions, sufficient fluids (water, tea), air pump, repair kit and multi-tool.
