The award of the "Cycle station in the Lenne Valley" plaque confirms the importance of Finnentrop railroad station as a central hub for the regional cycling infrastructure. The infrastructure around the station has also been optimized with the construction of around 10 kilometers of new footpaths and cycle paths, which supports connections to local and national cycle routes. As part of extensive modernization measures, the station's facilities now have a contemporary, light and accessible design.
